The final seminar of 2019 Golden Pin Salon, which took place on June 15 at the Macau Tower. A multitude of designers and guests participated in the Salon and formed an enthusiastic, engaging crowd.

The salon arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on June 11. The star-studded list attracted the participation of hundreds of designers and design enthusiasts, and facilitated active Q&A sessions.
So far, the two awards have received entries from companies and designers in eighteen different countries and regions. The Golden Pin Concept Design Award features concepts to change the world for the better, meanwhile the Golden Pin Design Award features global brands including Starbucks and GQ Taiwan.
Golden Pin Salon 2019 Launches in Taipei! 3 Taiwanese Designers Take the Audience by Storm with Design Anecdotes
The event brought together three designers from Taiwan and Hong Kong, whose expertise lie in three separate areas. As guest speakers at the Taipei event, Johnny Chiu, Gina Hsu and Andrew Wong discussed design and culture from Taiwan to Asia.
Seven celebrated designers from Taiwan, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Macau will speak at the events; sharing their design philosophies and experience from their illustrious careers.
The biggest jury in the award’s history, this year’s jury is comprised of more than 82 design experts who specialize in wide array of creative fields including design, architecture, lifestyle, media, advertising, and venture capital.
To encourage students to associate their design creativity with social issues, the new category of “Social Design” was added this year.
The Best Design winners were announced at the Grand Ceremony on November 29. Among the winning designs, this year’s jury found trends in social design, green design, and artificial intelligence, among others.
The concept of this year’s award ceremony was “Nature Knows”, many of the winning designers spoke about their understandings and expectations of the design industry in this context.
